01Who we are
Gator Defense LLC ("Gator Defense," "we," "us") is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business with offices in Ocala, Florida and Charleston, South Carolina. Gator IT Solutions is our IT division and is part of the same company, so this policy covers it too.
This policy explains what we collect through gatordefense.com, why, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do with it. It does not cover information we handle while performing a government contract. That information is governed by the contract and the agency's own rules.
02Information we collect
What you give us
We only collect what you choose to send. Depending on the form:
- Contact form: your name, organization, email, phone number, the area you're interested in and your message.
- Partner With Us form: company name and website, your name and title, email, phone, location, service area, the services you provide, business size and certifications, NAICS codes, UEI and anything you tell us about your company.
- Join Our Team form: your name, email, phone, city and state, the positions and areas you're interested in, a LinkedIn or résumé link and your experience. Military affiliation and security clearance level are optional. Leaving them blank does not affect how we review you.
- Email and phone: anything you send us directly, including résumés and attachments.
Please don't send Social Security numbers, bank details, medical information, classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or export-controlled technical data through this website. If we need sensitive information later, we'll arrange a secure way to get it.
What is collected automatically
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps standard logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use them to keep the site running and secure.
- Spam protection. When you submit a form, the site briefly stores a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your IP address to stop the same visitor from flooding our forms. It is kept for about 10 minutes and cannot be turned back into your IP address. A fingerprint of the message itself is kept for about an hour so duplicates aren't sent twice.
- Cookies. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics or ad pixels. WordPress, the software the site runs on, sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site. If we ever add analytics, we'll update this policy first.
03How we use it
- To answer your questions and follow up on requests.
- To evaluate subcontractors, suppliers and teaming partners for current and future bids.
- To review candidates for open positions and for roles on future contracts.
- To keep records we're required to keep. As a federal contractor, that includes certain hiring records.
- To run, protect and improve the website, including filtering spam.
- To send text messages if you've agreed to receive them (see below).
We don't use your information to build advertising profiles, and we don't add you to a marketing list just because you filled out a form.
04Text messages (SMS)
Our forms include an optional checkbox to receive text messages. If you check it, we may text you about your inquiry, partnership submission or application, for example to schedule a call or confirm details. Agreeing to texts is never required to work with us or apply for a job.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or call us at +1 (843) 419-8996.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the providers that deliver our messages for us.
06How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for up to three years so we can follow up and reach back out when a new opportunity comes up. Some records, such as hiring records and anything tied to a contract, may be kept longer when the law or the contract requires it. Messages caught by the spam filter are deleted periodically. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see "Your choices").
07How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Form submissions are stored in a private area of the site that only authorized staff can open. We limit who can see submissions and keep our software up to date. No website can promise perfect security, which is why we ask you not to send sensitive information through our forms.
08Your choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we have about you,
- correct it,
- delete it, unless we're legally required to keep it, or
- stop contacting you.
Email contact@gatordefense.com or call +1 (843) 419-8996. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We'll respond within 30 days. Some states give residents additional privacy rights, and we'll honor those where they apply to us.
09Children
This site is meant for businesses, government buyers and job seekers. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10Other websites
Our pages link to other sites, such as SAM.gov or LinkedIn. We don't control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
11Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on the site.
